Corrections & Retractions Policy

Last updated: February 2026

Our Commitment

The Daily Perspective is committed to accuracy in all published content. As an AI-powered publication, we recognise that automated content generation carries inherent risks of factual error. We take these risks seriously and maintain robust processes to identify and correct mistakes promptly.

How Errors Can Occur

Articles on this site are generated by artificial intelligence. While we employ quality controls including automated fact-checking against source material, content scoring, and pre-publication safety checks, AI-generated content can occasionally contain:

  • Factual inaccuracies or outdated information
  • Misattribution of statements or actions to individuals
  • Incorrect statistics, dates, or figures
  • Contextual errors that misrepresent events or their significance

Reporting an Error

If you identify an error in any article published on The Daily Perspective, please contact us immediately at corrections@thedailyperspective.org. When reporting an error, please include:

  • The URL or title of the article
  • A description of the error
  • The correct information, with a source if available
  • Your contact details (optional, but helpful for follow-up)

How We Handle Corrections

All correction requests are reviewed and actioned as follows:

  • Minor factual errors (dates, figures, spelling of names): The article is updated with the correct information and a correction notice is appended to the article.
  • Significant factual errors (misattribution, incorrect allegations, material misrepresentation): The article is updated immediately, a prominent correction notice is added at the top of the article, and the correction is logged in our public corrections record.
  • Defamatory or harmful content: The article is taken down immediately pending review. If the content is confirmed to be defamatory or materially harmful, a retraction notice replaces the article.

Correction Notices

Correction notices include the date of the correction, a description of what was changed, and the original error. We do not silently edit published articles. All substantive changes are disclosed transparently.

Retractions

In cases where an article is fundamentally flawed, contains fabricated information, or causes serious harm to an individual's reputation, we will retract the article entirely. Retracted articles are replaced with a retraction notice that explains why the article was removed.

Right of Reply

Any person or organisation that is the subject of coverage on The Daily Perspective has the right to request a correction or to submit a response. We will consider all such requests promptly and in good faith.
