A man has been shot by police following an incident at Logan Central on 21 March. The 27-year-old remains in serious but stable condition at Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane.
Officers were initially called to Ewing Road, near Carmody Street, following reports of an armed man with a knife making threats. Upon arrival, officers attempted to engage with the man before he approached them with the weapon, and he was subsequently shot by police.
Officers immediately provided first aid to the man before he was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment. No police officers or members of the public were injured during the incident.
The matter is being investigated by the Ethical Standards Command, with oversight from the Crime and Corruption Commission. It is understood police will speak to the man once he recovers.
