Homicide detectives have launched a full investigation following the death of a 42-year-old woman discovered at her Banksia Grove home on Thursday morning.
Police were called to the property on Mayali Bend shortly before 9am after reports of an unresponsive woman. Officers and paramedics attended the scene and provided emergency first-aid, but the woman was pronounced dead at the home.
A man in his 40s has come forward to assist police with their inquiries. At this early stage, investigators have not made any formal charges or public statements regarding the circumstances of her death.
The Major Crime Squad has assumed carriage of the investigation, which remains in its preliminary phases. Police have indicated that additional information is expected to emerge as the investigation progresses.
