NSW police, officers from the Department of Community Justice in Queanbeyan and the NSW Department of Education jointly concluded an investigation that led to charges being laid on Tuesday, March 10. Four staff members have been charged with assault: a 63-year-old woman with one count of assault, a 46-year-old man with three counts of assault, a 65-year-old woman with one count of assault, and a 38-year-old man with one count of assault.
The four staff members had allegedly assaulted three boys aged nine, 10 and 11 during a two-year period between January 2024 and December 2025. NSW detectives from the Monaro Police District began investigating the educators in November 2025.
None of the four are currently working at the school. All four are expected to appear at Queanbeyan Local Court on Tuesday, 21 April 2026.
The involvement of multiple government agencies in the investigation reflects the seriousness with which authorities treat alleged misconduct involving school staff and children. The co-ordination between police, the Department of Community Justice, and the Department of Education signals that appropriate oversight mechanisms were engaged to examine the allegations thoroughly. The charges remain allegations at this stage, with the court proceedings to determine the facts of the matter.
