A major police operation unfolded at Campbelltown TAFE on Tuesday afternoon as officers responded to reports of armed individuals on campus. Just before 4.30pm, police were alerted that two people were acting suspiciously.
Witnesses reported seeing multiple police vehicles and officers arriving at the campus, creating a heavy police presence around the education facility. As a precaution, the facility was placed into lockdown by security at the campus prior to the arrival of police.

According to 7News, students were reportedly told to stay in secure locations while officers searched the surroundings and assessed whether the suspicious individual posed any real danger. Classroom blinds were pulled down as a further precaution. No shots have been fired during the incident.
Emergency alerts were issued advising people to avoid the area and follow police instructions. While the campus remains in lockdown, some students have been allowed to be picked up by family members at a designated location near the roundabout on William Downes Ave, close to the Narellan Rd entrance.

Police moved through classrooms and buildings to ensure the safety of all students and staff. A search is ongoing for the woman and a man believed to be with her. The public has been urged to avoid the area and follow all police directions until the situation is fully resolved.
