Bloober Team, the studio behind the Silent Hill 2 remake and 2025's Cronos: The New Dawn, has updated investors on its Nintendo-exclusive title Project M, with CEO Piotr Babieno stating the team is "satisfied with the direction in which the project is developing."
The project has undergone "some organisational changes" and has been transferred to a new development team. The Polish developer has not publicly elaborated on what prompted the restructure, though the company stated the development team working on the project has been adjusted, though it remains satisfied with the direction the game is currently taking.

First revealed via a live-action teaser trailer in January 2025, Project M is a Nintendo-exclusive horror title being developed by Bloober Team and second-party studio Broken Mirror Games. The studio has positioned the game as an experience designed specifically for Nintendo hardware. Babieno has stated that "fans of Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Limbo, and Eternal Darkness will immediately feel at home" and that Project M "introduces a bold twist—one that no horror game has ever explored before. This is a vision that could only exist on Nintendo hardware."
Yet the details remain carefully guarded. When pressed directly, Babieno told journalists "You have no idea how hard it is for me not to reveal what Project M truly is," adding that the studio is "confident that we'll be able to share the first details very soon."

Bloober Team has signalled that 2026 will be an exceptionally busy year for communications, with the studio planning to unveil several projects throughout the year at multiple industry events while sharing updates about existing brands. Players can expect "information regarding new projects, as well as further news related to current brands and activities carried out by the companies in [Bloober's] group."
Beyond Project M, the studio is actively developing Project H, being worked on by the same team that developed Cronos: The New Dawn. Babieno is calling it "the most ambitious project this team has ever undertaken, with the greatest commercial potential of any of [Bloober's] titles." The creative portion of that team is currently in pre-production on the new original project, whilst most of the production team supporting Cronos is currently helping with polishing other projects. After completing pre-production, the team will gradually move to full production.

The studio's 2026 slate also includes Layers of Fear 3, which will be co-developed alongside a partner studio while Bloober Team maintains significant creative input as the franchise holder. This represents a departure from the studio's usual approach of keeping major projects internal.
For Australian gamers watching Bloober Team's evolution, the studio's output across multiple horror franchises demonstrates both ambition and financial discipline. The restructuring of Project M, whilst the studio describes itself as "satisfied" with its direction, suggests Bloober is willing to recalibrate when necessary. Whether Project M's promised Nintendo-exclusive vision proves innovative or merely competent will likely shape expectations for Project H and whatever other announcements spring from the studio's busy year ahead.
