Season 4 picks up approximately one year after the climactic events of Season 3, when the heroes defeated the Chroma Conclave and saved the realm of Exandria from destruction. The new season finds the adventurers scattered across the globe, each pursuing separate paths and searching for personal meaning. That peace shatters when an ancient evil awakens and threatens the entire realm, forcing the band back together for their greatest challenge yet.

The heroes are planning a high-stakes heist to steal a secret scroll from a heavily guarded vault inside a Cobalt archive. This dangerous mission forms part of their desperate attempt to prevent an apocalyptic event, setting the stage for Season 4's central conflict.
