  • Inchyra is the best bet of the day in Race 1, resuming from a spell after a winning trial at Canberra.
  • Classic Touch is tipped to win Race 3, having placed in two of three career starts, both at Goulburn.
  • Everido is the best value pick in Race 7, after charging late to win at Canterbury at his last start.
  • All selections are based on a heavy track at Sapphire Coast for the Sunday card.

Sapphire Coast stages an eight-race card on Sunday, with all selections made on the basis of a heavy track. Racing NSW analyst John Schell has provided tips and race previews for the full programme.

Race 1

The standout of the opener is 5. Inchyra, a solid performer with only four starts to her name, having placed in two of them. She resumes from a spell and won a trial at Canberra in the lead-up to this return, which points to a forward showing. 7. Mover And Shaker failed to beat a runner home at Newcastle in August last year but should be ready to improve. 1. Don Man debuts after two trials and bears close watching, and 4. Impending Charm is similarly on debut after spaced trials, with a bold showing not out of the question.

How to play it: Inchyra WIN.

Race 2

2. All Adore won at this track just after Christmas and ran midfield in a Highway at Wyong last month. A repeat performance here looks on the cards. 1. Iowna Benz ran second at Wagga at the last start and can show up again. 5. Christmas Star has a solid record with multiple wins and placings, and 6. Girls Weekend followed a Moruya win with a placing on the Beaumont track at Newcastle and is not out of this.

How to play it: All Adore WIN.

Race 3

12. Classic Touch has had only three starts but has placed in two, both at Goulburn. She was not beaten far last time and only needs to reproduce that effort to be hard to hold out. 13. Raining Violets placed at Queanbeyan when resuming and shapes as the main danger. 9. Dunna Runna was not far away last time, while 2. C'mon Wicksy was down the track at Queanbeyan but can improve.

How to play it: Classic Touch WIN.

Race 4

3. Ol' Mate Coop is on his second start for a new stable, having finished second at Coffs Harbour twice before a sixth at Kembla Grange last time. 8. Gaelic Gem has placed in three of four starts and only needs to reproduce that form to be difficult to beat. 10. North Star Miss was midfield on debut at Kembla Grange late last year and can run well, while 1. Setta Icon can improve sharply on previous form.

How to play it: Ol' Mate Coop WIN.

Race 5

4. Ischyros has placed at both Goulburn and Nowra before finishing third at Rosehill behind Rose Aye at big odds. That looks to be strong form for this grade. 8. Jazz All Knight is a consistent performer who won at this track three starts ago and has since run second in both subsequent runs here. 9. Miss Scoop has been out of the placings recently but can lift, and 2. Tidal Rush won here in October before running third at Albury at massive odds last time. He can feature with a suitable run.

How to play it: Ischyros WIN.

Race 6

1. Cossack Warrior was well supported at Wagga last time out and ran second, a consistent effort that only needs repeating to be very hard to beat. 2. Brutal Eyes is lightly raced with two wins and four placings from 10 starts. 4. Kitty Okay won at Kembla Grange when resuming and was not beaten far last time, while 16. Too Darn Sassy placed at Canberra last start and is not out of this if she can reproduce recent form.

How to play it: Cossack Warrior WIN.

Race 7

4. Everido settled back in the field before charging home late to win at Canterbury last time and draws well here. Another bold performance would not surprise. 1. Canadian Ruler raced on the pace to score last time and has been racing consistently well. 15. Rose Aye dominated from the front to win last time and has the ability to go on with the job. 12. Cando Attitude has won four from four and only needs to overcome a difficult draw.

How to play it: Everido EACH WAY.

Race 8

7. Sanzeno has only won two of 27 starts but was not far away at Goulburn last time and draws the inside gate here, which should suit. 8. Colorado Sun placed twice from five starts and looks set to run well again. 1. Straight Fire is classy at best and ran well at Wagga last time, while 10. Incantata won at Queanbeyan last start and warrants respect.

How to play it: Sanzeno WIN.
